Feels a little dirty, but I’ve gotten used to it. Not very tough to do it, just go to http://google.com/adsense set-up an account and copy paste the generated code into your pages. It took a little tinkering around to get the right size and look, but now that it’s done, I can just sit back and cash checks. I’ve made 76-cents in 2 weeks, Google sends a check after you make $100. So, I should be getting my first check in 5 years or so. Maybe I should consider ways to get more traffic here….

It also has a kick-ass web-service based integration with Windows XP that allows you to upload pictures to the gallery directly from Windows Explorer. The integration with Wordpress isn’t really there yet, so I’ve mostly disabled it. This means that you will need to use your browser’s back button to return from the gallery.

I’ve currently got pictures from several 14ers (I’ll post on that in the summer probably), my trip to Rome, and many photos of my 12 week old daughter in the gallery. Not sure that I’ll keep the baby pictures on this site. Babies are a lot of work & don’t really fit with the man-of-leisure theme. She is, however, damn cute.

Since the days when I was a certified man-of-leisure. I’ve got a lot less leisure time now, but still feel like I have an above average appreciation for such activities – or lack of activities. Anyway, the recent blogging trend and enabling software like WordPress has driven me to dust off the domain and start a blog here. The first few posts will likely just relay the process of setting up the blog. Once that is complete, who knows where I’ll take this. I’ve got no shortage of leisurely interests. It’s safe to assume that I’ll use this little corner of cyberspace to discuss them. In fact, at some point I’ll have to pontificate on the thought that being a man-of-leisure is not really leisurely at all. If you think you might be ( or think you might want to be) a man-of-leisure, or if you’re just curious as to what it means to be a man-of-leisure – stop by from time to time.
