Gallery Open
Spent a good bit of time last night trying to decide on software for the picture gallery. I decided on Gallery, because it is visually appealing and seems to be pointed in the direction of good integration with WordPress. It also has a kick-ass web-service based integration with Windows XP that allows you to upload pictures to the gallery directly from Windows Explorer. The integration with Wordpress isn’t really there yet, so I’ve mostly disabled it. This means that you will need to use your browser’s back button to return from the gallery.
I’ve currently got pictures from several 14ers (I’ll post on that in the summer probably), my trip to Rome, and many photos of my 12 week old daughter in the gallery. Not sure that I’ll keep the baby pictures on this site. Babies are a lot of work & don’t really fit with the man-of-leisure theme. She is, however, damn cute.
